GRIP > LEKI grips are very durable, and economically designed to fit the hand perfectly. Each grip is mad with quality materials, such as AirERGO Foam and COR-TEC, and is available in several sizes. AirERGO and COR-TEC materials are lightweight, cool in warm weather, and comfortable in cold temperatures.
STRAPS > LEKI poles feature a variety of straps that provide security, comfort and support. The Automatic Comfort Strap has a mechanism that releases the hand in certain situations. Soft fleece padding on the inner side reduces irritation. The Automatic Strap offers the same security and support, without the fleece padding. The Automatic System Strap does not have a Right or Left designation. The BuckJe Strap is regulated by sliding the strap through a buckle, which does not offer any security.
POSITIVE ANGLE > This 15 degree angle just below the grip loops your wrist in a neutral and relaxed position, and allows for better load-bearing without strain.
ERGOMETRIC > Image shows how
the pole shaft enters the
grip at an angle
ALUMINUM > LEKI uses only the highest quality, 7075 aluminum. After enduring our exclusive heat-treating process, the metal reaches an outstanding level of tensile strength. The inside surfaces of LEKI poles are textured to ensure a good gripping surface for the locking expander.
SURFACES > All LEKI shafts are brushed, degreased and cleaned without the use of chemical components. This provides an optimal surface for the finishing process. The layers of graphics are then applied and sealed. Attention to detail at this stage guarantees a high-quality finish that is expectionally durable.
TREKKING BASKET > Baskets specifically designed for trekking prevent poles from sinking into soft earth or rocky terrain. Larger baskets can easily be installed for winter use. The baskets screw on and off easily, event in the coldest conditions, using no additional tools.
CARBIDE FLEXTIPS > These flexible, synthetic tips can bend up to 30 degrees without damaging the pole shaft. The carbide reaches a degree of hardness close to that of a diamond, ensuring an optimal grip on ice and rock surfaces. LEKI also offers the less expensive steel tip, which provides good support on looser, gravel-like surfaces.
